Kendel Johnson has been studying, practicing,
and supporting the growth of Nonviolent Communication
- also known as 'NVC' and Compassionate Communication
- since the spring of 2002.
He
has studied directly with Marshall Rosenberg,
the founder of Nonviolent Communication, in
Texas and New Mexico, as well as several other
trainers from the U.S. and Denmark.
J
has facilitated numerous NVC classes, workshops
and practice groups in schools, churches,
homes and wellness facilities for adults,
teachers and students, and he also offers
NVC mediation to individuals and groups seeking
compassionate resolution to conflict.
He
is the Texas state coordinator for the Campaign
for a U.S. Department of Peace, and currently
lives in Arlington, Texas with his partner,
Rev. David Howard, senior minister at The
Unity Church of Arlington.
